      Offset Wind Lines

      Out and back courses can be offset to separate the Wind Lines. Pick the side of road and distance to offset.

      Wind Shear

      For the best results pick a landscape that would describe the locality of your course. This is used to adjust the wind speeds for wind gradient/shear. This is the slowing of air flow due to surface frictions.

      Starting Speed

      As default your starting speed will be estimated using your performance settings. If you are starting this course from stationary select 'Zero'.

      Setting up your Virtual Partner

      1. Set up your forecast checking you have entered your desired Watts, CdA and Weight etc.
      2. Check average speed in forecast summary is attainable for you and adjust Wattage
      3. Download VP file
      4. Drag file onto your Garmin into the folder 'Garmin > NewFiles folder'
      5. On your Garmin select your course from the Courses menu.
      6. Ensure Virtual Partner is a Page on your Garmin
      7. Have fun with your VP!
